To turn off one processor for a program: (Do this every time you open Generations)
1. Open Generations.
2. Right click on an empty area on your task bar (The bar that runs across the bottom of your screen that has the start button and time on it). You will get a pop up menu. Click on the menu item called Task Manager.
3. When the task manager comes up, click on the tab labeled Processes.
4. Under the processes tab there will be a list of all of the processes running on your computer at the moment. Look for the process labeled Gens.exe and right click on it and select Set Affinity from the list.
5. This will bring up a small window that has check boxes for the number of processors running the program. Uncheck the box that says CPU 1. Click ok.
6. Close out the Task Manager.
